Windows 10 vmware fusion slow

I have a 15" 2010 MBP that I upgraded to a 500 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM (thanks for the advice on that upgrade, /r/mac!). I am running Windows 10 in VMWare Fusion 7 and it is painfully slow.
